Library Services
Among other useful materials, in ACMT Library one can find the list of Senior Projects and all the related information. For ACMTers’ convenience, we have made that list available on line so as to save the students’ time. |
Which sources are available in the ACMT Program Library?
Your Library Manager will give you an overview of available sources
in the library and online.
What are REFERENCE sources?
Some sources are used for many classes and contain a large amount
of information. These sources are referred to as REFERENCE sources, such as
dictionaries, thesauruses, almanacs, and various indexes. Materials used in
a certain class may be put on RESERVE for students to use in the library only.
Reference material may NOT be checked out.
How may I check-out material?
At the librarian's desk ask for the needed material if you know the
exact title/author, or ask for the keywords you are interested in. Do not try
to find the materials yourself, because the books are not in alphabetical order
according to the author or the title, but according to LCCN numbers printed
on labels so it is very difficult to find the needed material on your own. The
librarian will find the material and check it out for you.
When do I have to return checked-out material?
Read the due date on the due-date card placed inside the material.
For how long may material be checked-out?
- Books may be checked out for three weeks*
- Magazines may be checked out for two weeks
- Video tapes may be checked out for two days
- Other material check out period varies
What if I want to keep the material for a longer period?
You may call or visit the library to extend due dates. You do not
have to bring the material with you.
What if I am late with returning the material?
Overdue material is charged per item per day as follows:
- Non-fiction and Fiction material related to classes, 5Kn
- Other material, 1Kn
What if I damage or lose material?
Damaged or lost material will be charged. Honesty in reporting such
incidents is much appreciated.
Any material destroyed by careless handling is considered damaged material.
The amount charged for damage will depend on the item's replacement value.
May I print in the library?
The ACMT Program Library has a color printer. Students may ONLY PRINT
IN COLOR. Plan to print ahead of deadlines to avoid waiting and frustration.
Color printing price list:
- Full page 2kn
- Half page 1kn
Other services in the library:
- Binding: Any size 5,00 Kn
*If a book is used in class, and the number of copies is limited, it may be
placed on RESERVE or reduced check-out period. (e.g. Death of a Salesman, by
A. Miller, used in Writing&Literature II, is placed on RESERVE for the entire
quarter when that class is taught)
