RIT/ACMT in the Community
Every year RIT/ACMT students organize a Children Winter
Festival (CWF). CWF is a festival organized for children in Dubrovnik and Zagreb by RIT/ACMT student volunteers. The first CWF was organized in 1999 and until today more than 2000 happy children
were present at this event.
Over 100 RIT/ACMT students, professors and staff members volunteer at the college's annual Community Service Day. In previous years, RIT/ACMT volunteers cleaned up and improved the Dubrovnik Hospital
grounds, the playground at the Pile Gate, and Gradac Park as well as a an elementary school in Zagreb.
The Big Shot is an annual night-time "painting with light" photography
project sponsored by the School of Photographic Arts & Sciences at the Rochester
Institute of Technology Rochester, New York, USA. The Big Shot 2007 was taken
on April 12th 2007 in Dubrovnik, at the Pile Gate, and more than 500 volunteers
made this event a great success.
