INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS - Zagreb

As companies expand globally, business professionals with an awareness of cultural and political differences and an understanding of international competition and world markets are in demand. With a degree in international business, you'll be prepared to manage the challenges of a global marketplace.

Entering foreign markets; forging strategic international relationships; understanding the customs, politics, and laws of another country these are just a few of the central issues professionals face as they conduct business in an international marketplace. Significant opportunities are emerging in Croatia and around the world, from established countries like the United States, Western Europe, and Japan to emerging markets in East Asia, China, Latin America, and India. National and international companies are looking for professionals who can fuse business concepts with international issues to address the needs of a global business community.

The RIT/ACMT international business program gives you a solid foundation in business with a sound understanding of the significance of cultural and geographic influences on global commerce. You'll focus your expertise with a co-major in marketing or management, and your curriculum will include a foreign language.

You'll be required to apply what you learn and gain valuable experience by completing at least two quarters of cooperative education, one of which must have an international component. Our campus location in Zagreb, the nations center for business, industry, and government, offers a wide range of opportunities and connections as you consider your career interests and develop your experience. You'll also have the opportunity to experience American education and culture by studying for a term or two on the RIT campus in Rochester, N.Y.
